In order to book your wedding cake on your chosen date, a non-refundable booking fee of £150 is required to be paid. The booking fee is part of the total amount quoted for your cake. Without the booking fee paid, your date will not be held and bookings will be done on a first-come, first-serve basis.
All final or balance payments are due exactly one month before your event, payment may be made earlier if you wish. If payment is not made on or before this date then we reserve the right to cancel.
If you are ordering a celebration cake, we require 60% of the total quoted cost of the cake to confirm a cake order and hold the date. The remaining 40% is due 2 weeks before the delivery/pick-up date, at which point all changes must be confirmed (changes to the previously agreed design may incur extra fees). Orders placed less than 2 weeks in advance of the delivery or pick-up date must be paid in full. The final balance specified on the invoice must be paid by the Buyer 2 weeks before the delivery date. Full payment or balance can be made earlier. Failure to complete payment 2 weeks before the delivery date may result in your order being cancelled. By making a payment the Buyer is accepting the Terms and Conditions as detailed on this page.
Consultation fees and booking fees are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances – this covers time already spent on consultation and any loss of business arising from turning away other bookings on that date.
The buyer should provide at least a 2-week notice before the agreed pickup or delivery date if he/she intend to cancel the order. Cancellation notification should be sent by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
If the buyer cancels an order more than 2 weeks before the agreed delivery date or collection date, the buyer will get a full refund (booking fee is not refundable) but will be charged a cancellation fee.
If the buyer cancels an order 2 weeks or less before the agreed delivery date or collection date, 30% of the total quoted price of the cake is non-refundable – this excludes delivery costs or fees.
In the very unlikely event that we have to cancel your order for any reason, then we will give you as much notice as possible. We will discuss the matter with you and try to agree to a suitable alternative. If you do not wish to accept our suggested alternative, we will refund the full price to you.
If your event is unable to go ahead due to government restrictions and you wish to postpone your order, both parties must agree to the new proposed date and any postponements. If both parties Buyer and Seller are not able to agree on a suitable date, we will refund your order in full.
If we are required to close our studio due to government restrictions surrounding a pandemic and are therefore unable to fulfil your order, we will work with you to try to agree on a suitable alternative date for delivery. If you do not wish to accept our suggested alternative, then we will refund the full price to you.
